Online RN Programs
Registered nursing is the top of the nursing chain (with the exception of certified registered nurse practitioners), and for that reason, online RN programs have become immensely popular in recent years. Record numbers of students are choosing to pursue their RN degrees online, and the vast majority of registered nurses who pursue BSN degrees also choose distance learning as their preferred medium.
Whether interested in a two-year associate’s degree in nursing or a four-year baccalaureate degree, the online option provides a wide range of choices for students. The following takes a deeper look at both types of programs.
About Online Registered Nursing Programs
Many of the top nursing schools in America are now offering registered nurse programs online. You can simply and easily take your classes in anatomy and physiology, microbiology, or nursing theory from the comfort of your home. However, much of nursing school is wrapped-up in the clinical rotations you will need to take.
If you are interested in an online nursing program, you need to find one that offers classes online yet is local to you for the clinical portion of your schooling. This will also ensure that you meet all requirements for the state you would like to practice in.
Online RN to BSN Bridge Programs
Online RN to BSN programs are all the rage right now. This is for working registered nurses who have a two-year degree and want to quickly and conveniently pursue a four-year degree. Again, the classes are online, but you will have to perform some clinical rotations that you will need to set up in your state. You can take the program from any college in the country, but most will require you to attend clinicals locally.
